(Do good and be on your way don’t wait for thank you)  This is my favourite quote that my mother reminded us every time and its a memory of her that I carry with me. My mother was a nurse, she always went beyond the call of duty. We would have people knocking on our door in the middle of the night or early in the morning before we even washed our faces…

We lived in rural Kenya where sometimes the nearest hospital was 10km away in those days…A sick child,a mother in labor an injury…she attended to them offering her services without being paid…

Every time we asked her why she allowed that yet she had a place of work and working hours…her response: tenda wema nenda zako usingoje ahsante…

Now that she is in the world yonder…people still talk about her 17 years later…

Yes we learnt by seeingthis quote in action not just words  …don’t wait for the applause of men you ,will be disappointed. Do because your heart is good…do good and be on your way…
